Warning: Get Your Money Out: All Customer Deposits in the United States are Now the Legal Property of JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Megabanks

Former money manager Ann Barnhardt, who made news in November of 2011 when she made the decision to close down her brokerage business and return funds to her customers citing “systemic” problems within the entire financial industry, has issued a new warning about the stability of US banks and the safety of individual deposit accounts.

The warning, stemming from recent federal appeals court ruling surrounding customer funds lost during the 2007 collapse of Chicago futures broker Sentinel, indicates that individuals who lose deposited funds because a financial institution improperly manages that money, even if those funds are supposed to be “segregated” from other operations of the firm, are essentially left with no recourse if the firm goes belly-up. According to the court, a misallocation of those customer funds, “is not, on its own, sufficient to rule as a matter of law that Sentinel acted ‘with actual intent to hinder, delay, or defraud’ its customers.”

The implications of the ruling, according to Barnhardt, will affect the monies of all private individuals who have seen their deposit accounts wiped out in the collapse of firms like John Corzine’s MF Global and put all deposit account holders in the country at risk should their bank be faced with a financial windstorm:

The NFA in collusion with the banksters, government and judiciary have achieved their goal. The entire concept of “customer segregated funds” is officially, completely, legally dead.

Guys, it is OVER. I know that many of you are still cowering in normalcy bias, unable to deal with reality, unable to face the world as it is, but you have GOT to snap out of it. The marketplace is DESTROYED. You CANNOT be in these markets. All legal protections are now officially gone.

The federal appeals court ruled yesterday that not only does BNYM stay at the front of the line, but that using customer segregated funds as collateral is NOT a crime, and that co-mingling customer segregated funds with proprietary funds is NOT fraud.

What this means is that even if Jon Corzine is somehow dragged into court by private citizens, because you know damn good and well that the Justice Department will never, ever touch him, Corzine now has a legal precedent, likely from a bribed or otherwise coerced Federal Appeals Court, explicitly stating that an FCM can use customer deposits to pay its debts, and that the customers themselves are subjugated and have basically no legal right to their own monies, no matter what the law says, or what legal assurances, claims or guarantees are made to that customer about their funds held with an FCM or any other brokerage or depository institution. The “secured” party at the front of the line will always be the mega-bank who made the fraudulent loan using the stolen customer funds as collateral.

In other words, all customer funds in the United States are now the legal property of JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, BNYM, or whichever megabank is the counterparty on the loans the FCM or depository institution takes out in order to fund its mega-levered proprietary in-house trading desks.

The ruling is specifically designed to protect large financial institutions that have (purposefully) mismanaged customer funds and used the hard-earned life savings of Americans to gamble on equities, commodities and bond markets. If those firms happen to make the wrong bet, as MF Global, Sentinel and a handful of others have recently done, depositors who have placed funds with the banks under the belief that their bank account is securely protected from trading liabilities are now completely exposed and liable for the incompetence and negligence of those who engage in market trading.

This latest ruling combined with recent actions by the Federal Reserve and other government regulators suggests a massive fraud has taken place and the financial system itself is under extreme strain with the potential to make the financial collapse of 2007/2008 look like a training exercise.

In recent days, for example, it’s come to light that the government has secretly called on the country’s five major banks to prepare themselves for collapse by creating stress recovery plans to be used in the event of worst case scenarios.

A few weeks ago, the Federal Reserve also implemented a new policy for money market funds held by financial institutions. Per the new policy, money market funds, which account for some $2.7 trillion in deposits across the United States, can be frozen in the event of an emergency or financial panic. This means that if and when the system does go into a tailspin, at exactly the time people will want to pull their money out of their bank account, they will be restricted from doing so.

These latest actions by government regulators, judges and financial institutions point to one thing: that we have an unprecedented financial collapse in the making. If such a financial crisis comes to pass it is clear that the policies and procedures now in place will transfer the legally owned deposits and money market savings of individual Americans into the hands of the banks at which those funds are kept.

Get Your Money Out.

Consider alternate, collapse-centric investment strategies and what is money when the system as we know it falls apart.

10 Things To Do When A Stranger Knocks On Your Door

What to do when someone, a stranger, knocks on your door

Here are a few ideas how to handle a situation where someone (a stranger) is knocking on your door. It happens to all of us, sometimes somewhat regularly. That is, we here an unexpected knock on our front door. The question is, what do we do?

Open the door
NOT the best idea (maybe the worst?)… Some people blindly open the door to see who it is or what it is that they want. I mention this only if you know the person on the other side.

Ignore the knock on the door
While ignoring the knock, you may want to go about your normal business and NOT pretend that you are not home, but instead continue to do what you were doing, or even make some noise or turn on a light so that the person knows that someone IS home (possibly avoiding a burglary).

Look out a window first to see who it is
Avoid looking out a door window, but instead go and look through another window away from the door if possible. If you don’t recognize them, you could shout through the door and ask what they want, or you could choose to ignore them altogether.

Arm yourself
…just in case. If you don’t own a firearm, consider pepper spray, keep a baseball bat or golf club by the door, pick up a fireplace poker, etc.. It’s your life – don’t waste it.

Set the door chain
…and crack open the door to speak to the person through the gap. Be sure that your door chain is set well with LONG screws into the door frame to help resist a ‘push in’.

Ask what they want
…and ‘interview’ the person through the closed door. You may consider installing a heavy duty security door (the kind with steel bars) outside of your existing front door so that you can see anyone who comes to the door and talk to them ‘securely’.

If you are a woman at home alone,
…mention that your husband (or father, if you are young) is fixing the bathroom faucet and cannot be bothered right now (or something similarly indicating that a man is at home).

Have an intercom speaker system
…at the outside of the front door for 2-way communication

Have a security camera
…to see who is at the door (and to deter a potential burglar). Having a sign indicating video surveillance, is a good deterrent.

Have a dog
…and allow the barking to ‘tell’ the solicitor that a dog lives there too.

In today’s world, it is always better to be on the safe side and NOT blindly open the door for anyone. The few thoughts listed above are just a sampling of many options for you when someone knocks on your door. The point is, think about your options and be prepared with a plan of action.

Remember that people can be dressed to impress but they may have ulterior motives. People may be wearing official looking uniforms while actually ‘casing the joint’. You are NOT obligated to let anyone into your home (except for police with a search warrant). Use your head and be cautious and suspicious. It may save your life or property.

...of you know you're in strange economic times when...

It pays more to turn in a bank robber than to rob a bank

"Bank Heists Rise in Houston, But Crime Not Paying Well" (LoanSafe)

When ex-convict Henry Bata passed a note demanding money from a Houston bank teller, he threatened the woman, claimed to be part of a violent bank-robbing gang and walked away with close to $5,000.

Bata, a 42-year-old Conroe resident, pleaded guilty to the robbery and is now headed to prison for a 30-year sentence – which means he’ll spend one year behind bars for each $166 chunk of cash he nabbed.

Not only are Houston bank robberies taking place at a faster pace than last year and on track to surpass the record of 171 holdups in 2010, but culprits are getting hard prison time, sometimes for stealing even less than Bata, said the FBI.

“More often than not, they are walking away with considerably less than what Crime Stoppers offers,” in their standard $5,000 reward, noted FBI Special Agent Shauna Dunlap. “So it pays more to turn in a bank robber than robbing a bank, and we’re seeing that a lot.”

Eating in is the new dining out

"Economy Drives Diners to Their Grocery Stores" (UTSanDiego.com)

People are eating out less, buying more prepared food

With recession-squeezed consumers eating out less, grocery stores are seeing a sales boost from an expanding menu of prepared meals.

For years, traditional grocery stores have lost ground to restaurants and takeout, as busy people looked for a quick-fix dinner or lunch option.

Now those people want bargains as much as convenience. As they seek to stretch their food dollars, they are finding that many supermarkets have been improving their ready-to-go offerings.

The result is that some stores have seen 7 percent to 10 percent growth in sales of prepared items, said Wade Hanson of Technomic, a Chicago-based food and restaurant industry consulting firm.

Jobseekers are being blamed for high unemployment

"Are the Unemployed Looking For Work in All the Wrong Places?" (Washington Post)

Here’s one explanation for our stubbornly high unemployment rate: A construction worker gets laid off and spends months looking for more construction work, rather than readjust his expectations and acquire new skills to find work in, say, the health-care industry, which has experienced steady growth throughout the recession. It’s what economists describe as as a “mismatch” between job openings and those seeking unemployment, and some argue that it’s responsible for why so many are unemployed. If those seeking work realigned their expectations, got more training, or were simply willing and able to move to a different state for work, then we could bring down unemployment to more reasonable levels. Indeed, a lot of recent hiring has been across sectors.

Central bankers are becoming armchair psychologists

"Are You Happy? Ben Bernanke Wants to Know" (ABC News)

Ben Bernanke wants to know if you are happy.

The Federal Reserve chairman said Monday that gauging happiness can be as important for measuring economic progress as determining whether inflation is low or unemployment high. Economics isn't just about money and material benefits, Bernanke said. It is also about understanding and promoting "the enhancement of well-being."

Some scams are legal

"Pimco's Bill Gross Says Stocks Were A Ponzi Scheme For The Last Hundred Years" (Forbes)

Anyone with an investment portfolio is probably familiar with the well-worn phrase “past performance is no guarantee of future results.” Bill Gross goes a step further in his August Investment Outlook, writing that not only should we not expect big returns from equities any time soon, maybe we should never expect them again.

“The cult of equity is dying,” the founder and co-CIO of Pimco begins his monthly commentary, which goes on to call the 6.6% historical real return from stocks that many investors have taken for granted a “Ponzi scheme.” (Gross has a penchant for the term, previously slapping the Ponzi moniker on Fed policies like QE2.)

The argument goes something like this: $1 invested in the S&P 500 in 1912 turned into more than $500 adjusted for inflation by 2012, but that 6.6% rate of return came with real GDP only running at a 3.5% clip annually. Gross says that “somehow stockholders must be skimming 3% off the top each and every year,” and that those profits must have come at the expense of lenders, laborers and the government.

More Islamic Antichrist Utter Confusion: Isaiah 17

11 August 2012: It has become blatantly apparent that in attempting to advance his Islamic Antichrist-Islamic Empire theory "Joel (not his real name) Richardson" has finally figured out that he must attack and diametrically oppose the entirety of current eschatological discernment and exegesis of Pre-70th Week Dispensationalist book writers, article authors and lay brethren. In short "Joel" has endeavored to become the leading pre-70th Week antagonist against what we believe is true and correct as led by the Holy Spirit. "Joel's" entire so-called "ministry" stands in abject denial of the doctrine of the Harpazo/Rapture and all proper hermeneutics regarding 'last days' prophecy teaching.

In this latest attempt it is the sum of Spirit-led exegesis regarding Isaiah 17 held by the vast majority of Pre-70th Week Dispensationalists that "Richardson" finds to be a simplistic and less then carefully executed study of God's Word. Moreover, and as has become a routine par for this course, direct aim has been taken by "Joel" at two of my favorite fellow Christian eschatologists, Dr. David Reagan and Bill Salus. This is made overtly obvious in the fact that the entire premise of this latest sensationalist, beggar's plea for people to buy his latest book, the WorldNetDaily/Joel's Trumpet article is based upon a Bill Salus statement on the literal fulfillment of Isaiah 17 taken directly from Dr. Reagan's very recent July 17, 2012 "Signs of the Times Prophetic Forum."

Richardson's proclivity for simplistic and shoddy research on these eschatological subjects has, as one has come to expect, also made its appearance in this article. I refer to the ludicrous yet very self-serving (i.e. book sales) eisegetical statement Joel makes in writing "in none of the popular discussions of this text does anyone ever bring attention to Israel’s desolation."

Well, in the first place, the spirit-filled prophecy of Isaiah 17 says nothing about this obvious coming military action resulting in "Israel's desolation." Secondly, specific and due exegesis does exist regarding the text of Isaiah 17:4-6. It can be found here, here, and most recently here on this Eschatology Today blog alone, as well as in an article by Britt Gillette at RaptureReady.com, and in Bill Salus' most recent book (which "Joel" so loves to disparage): Chapter 6 of "Revelation Road: Hope Beyond the Horizon," entitled "There's Trouble in Tehran and Destruction in Damascus," just to name a few.

The overarching problem "Joel Richardson" and WorldNetDaily are going to have in the near term will be the flood of requests for refunds for the thoroughly discredited and proven false series of "Islamic Antichrist/Mideast Beast" books. This flood of requests will may well materialize after Damascus is reduced to a heap of ruins; the cities of Aroer are abandoned, and the "Palestinian" fortress has ceased to exist in Ephraim (Judea and Samaria, a/k/a the "West Bank") as well as for the regime in Damascus and the whole of Syria (Aram). Those who bought those books would do well to bonfire them during a late summer barbeque and save themselves the aggravation of demanding a refund that will never come. Fool me once... you know the rest.

Indeed the simplicity of "Joel's" error-prone human mindset vice a Spirit-led exegesis on these eschatological issues can also be found manifest in the very convenient and equally self-serving ignoring of a prophecy intimately related to Isaiah 17, and that is the God-breathed prophecy of Jeremiah 49:23-27.

“Hamath and Arpad are shamed,
For they have heard bad news.
They are fainthearted;
There is trouble on the sea;
It cannot be quiet.

Damascus has grown feeble;
She turns to flee,
And fear has seized her.
Anguish and sorrows have taken her like a woman in labor.

Why is the city of praise not deserted, the city of My joy?

Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets,
And all the men of war shall be cut off in that day,” says the Lord of hosts.

“I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus,
And it shall consume the palaces of Ben-Hadad.

Jeremiah's prophecy against Damascus is an absolute confirmation of everything the Pre-70th Week Dispensationalist's have thus far placed in exegete regarding Isaiah 17. The inclusion of Hamath (modern-day Hama) and Arpad (the very near vicinity of modern-day Aleppo) confirms our exegete regarding Damascus and the remnant of Aram (Syria).

In addition to the failure to include the whole of this confirmation from Jeremiah, there is also a failure to have explored the meaning of the metaphor found in the last sentence regarding the consuming (i.e. destruction) of "the palaces of Ben-Hadad." This metaphorical statement is literally declaring the demise of the sons of a false god as derived from the original meaning of the phrase. In ancient times Hadad was another name used for the false god Ba'al. Today the only false god resident in Syria in our day is the false Islamic "allah." There is good reason to ignore this meaning if your present raison d'etre revolves around blattering the gospel of a nonexistent Islamic messiah instead of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Comparing the Arks of Utnapishtim and Noah

The Epic of Gilgamesh and the Biblical account of Noah's flood have a lot of similarities. This is no surprise since they are both retelling the same event of history - a worldwide flood. But like thousands of flood legends around the world, the Gilgamesh story seems to have suffered from poor record keeping. See if you can tell what's wrong.
