2012 the End of the World

Can anyone know that the World will end in 2012? Can it be accurately predicted? Some of the Mayan Calendar believers seem to think the answer is yes. Let us look at their claims and then let us look at the promises of the Bible.

1. Simply because the Mayan calendar ends on December 21, 2012, many have thought that the world will come to an end at that time. You are presuming an awful lot by using such reasoning.

2. There is supposed to be a Comet, Nibiru, (Planet X) strike the earth, or at least come close enough to pull giant tsunamis and tidal waves over our cities. Does that prophecy prove it is the end of the world? To be quite frank, there have been many other comets come close to our planet. There was Haley's Comet. And don't forget that there are craters, some even in North America, proving that our earth has been hit by comets, and we are still existing. Besides, there is a giant star: "Wormwood", prophesied in the Bible that WILL strike the earth. It will not cause such astrological devastations as the Mayans prophecy. Rather, it will turn fresh water bitter and cause many to die.

3. There are supposed to be two suns, according to the Mayans. This second sun will bring untold damage, they tell us. However, upon a close examination of the Bible, you will see that Jesus Christ is called the SUN of Righteousness, and that He will come and bring healing in his wings...not devastation.
