Up until now, most people had considered the idea of "green police" to be something of a joke. Well, the time for laughter is over. It is actually being proposed that the UN should create an army of "green helmets" to fight climate change. An article in The Guardian recently reported that a special meeting of the UN Security Council will be asked to consider the concept of "a new environmental peacekeeping force – green helmets – which could step into conflicts caused by shrinking resources." But we have all seen how a lot of "peacekeeping" and "humanitarian" missions often turn out. The truth is that UN forces have a long track record of brutality, and surely the "green helmets" would be no exception. In fact, someday we may see "green helmets" on American soil enforcing the radical green agenda of the international community.
Everyone laughed when Audi started running commercials featuring "the green police" a few years ago, but the truth is that there is almost always a little bit of truth in every joke. The Audi commercial posted below is very entertaining, but the reason why it struck such a nerve is because it is exactly where we are heading....
A lot of people never thought we would actually see something like "the green police" actually materialize.
Well, the world gets more crazy every single day.
Just check out what Germany's ambassador to the UN, Peter Wittig, recently had to say about the "green helmets" that would be tasked with fighting against the effects of climate change....
"Repainting blue helmets into green might be a strong signal - but would dealing with the consequences of climate change - say in precarious regions - be really very different from the tasks the blue helmets already perform today?"
Remember, this is not just some nut talking about this.
This is Germany's ambassador to the United Nations who is actually suggesting that we should have a bunch of UN soldiers running around in green helmets.
Unfortunately, fighting "climate change" has become one of the top priorities for the United Nations. It is the United Nations that developed "Agenda 21". It is the United Nations that has made "sustainable development" an international priority. It is the United Nations that is endlessly holding conferences about climate change.
Now, many world leaders are encouraging the UN to go farther than ever before in fighting "climate change".
The president of Nauru, Marcus Stephen, recently had an article published in the New York Times in which he stated the following....
First, the Security Council should join the General Assembly in recognizing climate change as a threat to international peace and security. It is a threat as great as nuclear proliferation or global terrorism. Second, a special representative on climate and security should be appointed. Third, we must assess whether the United Nations system is itself capable of responding to a crisis of this magnitude.
None of this may sound too threatening until you realize that the United Nations believes that "overpopulation" is the biggest cause of climate change.
In fact, official UN reports talk about how "no human is genuinely carbon neutral" and about how we need to do all we can to encourage people to have less children.
Governments all over the globe have jumped on board and have eagerly adopted the population control agenda of the United Nations.
In many nations, population control measures are voluntary at first. In fact, often incentives are even offered.
For example, health officials in India are offering motorcycles, televisions and even new cars to women in an attempt to get them sterilized.
But where they can get away with it, international population control advocates often employ more forceful methods.
In central Africa, children are often vaccinated at gunpoint. Later on it is often discovered that the vaccinations have actually resulted in sterilization.
In China, a "one-child policy" and forced abortions have become a way of life.
We aren't seeing such measures in western countries yet, but we are on the way.
The truth is that the global elite keep wanting to push the limits as they implement their vision of the future.
For example, the European Commission says that it would like to ban cars from most major cities by the year 2050.
Does that seem extreme?
You don't think anything like that could ever happen in the United States?
Well, already the federal government is telling us what kinds of light bulbs we are allowed to buy.
Not only that, but as I have written about previously, the U.S. government is now spending huge amounts of money to help get smart meters installed in as many U.S. homes as possible.
The name "smart meters" may not sound very threatening, but the truth is that they are sophisticated surveillance devices that will give authorities the capability to monitor and control our energy usage like never before.
Global authorities are also absolutely determined to "educate" the next generation about the dangers of "climate change".
This radical agenda is making tremendous progress in our public schools. For example, the state of Maryland has now made "environmental literacy" a requirement for high school graduation.
Yes, there is nothing wrong with wanting to help the environment. But the truth is that the radical plans that the global elite have to dramatically reduce levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere would actually be incredibly damaging to the environment. For instance, reduced levels of carbon dioxide would make it much more difficult to grow food and that would make our global food crisis much worse.
But instead of being willing to openly debate the science, the global elite plan to shove their radical green agenda directly down our throats.
Someday if you wake up in a "Planned-opolis" where a "one-child policy" and forced abortions are mandated by the central government, don't say that you weren't warned.
The radical environmentalists tell us exactly what they would like to do. John P. Holdren, Barack Obama's top science advisor, once co-authored a textbook in which he advocated the creation of a global police force to enforce population control measures....
“If this could be accomplished, security might be provided by an armed international organization, a global analogue of a police force. Many people have recognized this as a goal, but the way to reach it remains obscure in a world where factionalism seems, if anything, to be increasing. The first step necessarily involves partial surrender of sovereignty to an international organization.”
So when the UN starts discussing an army of "green helmets", we should all be alarmed. This has been a dream of radical population control advocates for a very long time.
Please do not ignore the radical green agenda. It is a direct threat to all of the liberties and freedoms that many of us hold dear. Those pushing this agenda really do feel like they need to tightly control all of us "for the good of the planet".
This radical agenda is going to do absolutely nothing to "save the planet". Rather, it will just be used as an excuse to impose an insidious form of tyranny on us all.
