Activist Post Censored 9-23-2011
Activist Post a alternative media blog that receives over 1 millions views a month, is hosted on Google’s blogger service since it’s founding in June 2010, and has articles syndicated on Infowars.com has been censored. USWGO, We Are Change, Truth is Treason, The Intel Hub, Infowars, and a wide variety of other information warrior websites have been on their blogroll as well. The censorship just happened today at Friday September 23 2011 midday.
USWGO has now sent some questions to find out what happened to Activist Post but discovered that Zen Gardner has already published a article about the censorship and we got a response back from a operator of Activist Post and his response to our questions was “We don’t have any answers from Google — and we are not going to wait. We are already working on something that we believe is much better . . . and more independent. Onward….”
Also we have received a response from Eric Blair regarding the situation. “It was removed completely. It doesn’t even appear in our dashboard in Blogger.” which means that they cannot edit, rename, change, post, or even restore the blog. It is possible that our account was hacked and deleted, but that’s very unlikely given that Blogger retains deleted blogs for a year and makes it easy to reinstate them.”
USWGO also runs a post syndication blog at Blogger in any case that USWGO gets suspended by their web host or if a request causes the entire website to be shut down so it’s of great concern that blogger may target USWGO stuff next. Activist Post can still be accessed at the Wayback Machine, a great refuge for accessing past censored content.
“We’ve filed an appeal, but we’re not holding our breath for quick response. Perhaps if the public outcry is loud enough we’ll get fast tracked in their faceless customer service department. Regardless, we’re pursuing independent hosting services as well.”
Highly likely that Google will take forever on appeals as it’s likely Google doesn’t want Activist Post on it’s blogging hosting service anymore.
“Yes, we back up the site every 10 days or so. Another indicator that Google is the culprit, is that this compatible back-up file was rejected by Blogger as well. Despite the fact that AP is backed up, it looks like we may have to start over if we go to a new platform. Additionally, if the lost time, effort, audience, and money is not painful enough, starting over with an independent host at our level of traffic will come with crippling hosting fees. Despite all the challenges, we intend to return with vengeance. ”
Shared Hosts will likely be a very bad idea as they will suspend the website quickly due to CPU usage due to high volumes of traffic. The only option would be a high cpu allowance Virtual Private Server (VPS) hosting or a dedicated server which can handle the high traffic load. Popeye of FederalJack runs his website on a dedicated server so he doesn’t have to deal with censorship shut downs but does have to worry about hackers launching DDoS attacks.

“Clearly, this is a huge set back for us and the work we do,” said co-founder Eric Blair. “Our entire crew is working on resolving the issue and restoring the website. We certainly look forward to an explanation from Google.”
“We remain puzzled as to why Activist Post was erased completely by Google,” said chief editor and co-founder Michael Edwards. “When we tried to load our back-up file into our secondary Blogger account, that was blocked as well,” he added.
Activist Post will come back with a vengeance but I’m sure their website being shut down is a lesson to be well learned and that is, never host your political blog on blogger or google because they will just shut it down.
After Google bought up YouTube they have gone on censorship rampages just shutting down one political channel after another sometimes under possibly false copyright complaints. Even FederalJackTube channels keep being censored which is why popeye keeps having to create more YouTube channels to combat the censorship of his posted videos.
Expect more political blogs hosted on blogger to just disappear from the face of the Internet. If you run a political or Anti New World Order blog on blogger you should backup and convert the blogger backup file to be able to upload to another blogger provider which would be more reasonable then Google.
Popeye’s comment on the censorship is “Welcome To 1984. Activist Post is an important tool in the infowar and they knew it but I am gonna try to see if I can help them get back up.” So it looks like popeye is going to help Activist Post but is unclear to what is being planned to get the website back up as of yet.
Activist Post’s recent articles added to Infowars.com was EU debt crisis being used to consolidate political control, Are We Worthy of Freedom?, Even BPA-Free Plastics Leach Harmful Chemicals, US lawmaker warns cuts may revive military draft, and California Bans Unvaccinated Children from Class. So Activist Post is well syndicated as a blog, gets high levels of traffic, and isn’t under elite influence which is highly likely why blogger shut down their website.
Google’s philosophy Do No Evil, is more like Do Evil!
