CCTV cameras removed from school toilets

Hodge Jones and Allen Solicitors have today posted some extremely welcome news on their website: CCTV cameras installed in the toilets of West Calder High and Whitburn Academy schools have been removed. Their removal follows a vigorous campaign on the part of parents who were outraged that the school would seek to place cameras in such a sensitive area. This is clearly a victory for common sense. Any right-thinking person would conclude that monitoring school toilets with CCTV cameras is a gross invasion of children's privacy.
