Kent News today carries a selection of photographs of "dangerous and inconsiderate, illegally parked cars" which have been snapped by Medway Borough Council's CCTV spy cars. The heroically-named Councillor Phil Filmer has gone on record as saying "all areas across the country have parking enforcement to keep places safe and ease congestion". While we don't disagree with Cllr Filmer that some parking enforcement is occasionally neccessary, there's a big difference between erecting no-parking signs and employing a few traffic wardens and deploying CCTV cars in an effort to hoodwink people out of their hard-earned money.
