Crime of the year: Police harass four year olds picking daffodils

Over at The Guardian, there's a truly mind-blowing story about the case of two sisters, aged four and six, who swooped on by uniformed Police officers after being caught picking daffodils in a Dorset park. Upon arriving, the two girls were given a stern talking to by Police officers which has now resulted in them being too scared to visit the park again for fear of "being taken away by the Police". While it's unacceptable that these two children were essentially vandalising a public park, this is an issue of poor parenting as opposed to one which requires rapid-response Police...
