Netherlands rejects national DNA database

While the battle against the national DNA database in the UK has been partially won, with the data of millions of innocent people set to be deleted in the coming months, Rotterdam's Police Chief Frank Paauw is keen for the Netherlands to adopt their own version of the system. Under Paauw's proposal, the details of the entire Dutch nation - not just those arrested for commiting crimes - would he held on a central database.
