A gigantic sunspot was measured on the sun on November 4 within Region 11339 [N19E58] which covers a very large area and is complex with the potential to produce X10+ class solar flares.
The good news is that currently these sunspots are not in a position where with a Coronal Mass Ejection (CME) it would dramatically impact our planet. However, scientists agree that it’s not a matter if it will, rather when it will happen.
And when it happens, the outlook for life on our planet is not great. The following video demonstrates what would happen when a repeat of the events in 1859 (Carrington Effect) take place. When it strikes we’ll be less lucky as these days we depend on electricity unlike at that time when the telegraph was the only wired network.
